History

History and Culture

The parish was established in the 1930’s, the first church being built on Stafford Rd and in use by 1938. 


St Anthony’s Primary School was built near the church in 1960.

In 1976 a site was obtained for the erection of a new church and presbytery which were consecrated by Archbishop Couve de Murville in 1988.
